Young Mother & Young Father Classes

A supportive educational environment where young parents develop the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to care for a child while continuing their own education and preparing for adulthood.

The Baby-Doll Parenting Lab and Young Mother & Young Father Classes give students a place to learn, practice, make mistakes safely, receive guidance, build confidence, and prepare for real-life responsibilities.

Program Includes

Baby-Doll Parenting Lab

Hands-on practice with baby dolls, cribs, bottles, diapers, clothing, and diaper bags.

Young Mothers Class

Parenting skills, education planning, career preparation, financial literacy, and personal development.

Young Fathers Class

Responsible fatherhood, co-parenting, communication, financial responsibility, and career preparation.

Parenting & Child Development

Age-appropriate lessons about infant and child development.

Life Skills Training

Cooking, household organization, time management, budgeting, and decision-making.

Education & Career Planning

Helping students remain in school and connect with YLLC vocational and career-training opportunities.

Mentoring

Positive adult mentors who encourage students to set educational, personal, and career goals.

Co-Parenting Skills

Respectful communication, problem-solving, and working together around a child's needs.
